The event, which will take place next Thursday 30 in Plaza Pedro Zerolo, will offer activities for all audiences and will include twelve partner stands
Adeje Town Hall is organising a Family Health Fair on next Thursday, 30 April, in Plaza Pedro Zerolo in Adeje, an event designed for everyone to enjoy, learn and share in a festive atmosphere. From 9 am to 1 pm and from 4pm to 8 pm, the plaza will host activities aimed at all ages, combining health, leisure and community life in an open-air setting.
«The Family Health Fair aims to promote the importance of taking care of our health and to encourage family togetherness, with an accessible and inclusive programme for everyone,» explained Esther Rivero Vargas, Adeje Councillor for Health and Quality of Life.
From 9am to 1pm the fair will include a space especially dedicated to fifth and sixth year primary school pupils from CEIP Adeje, who will have the opportunity to enjoy a different, fun and educational morning. The pupils will take part in a varied programme combining dynamic games and informative activities designed to promote healthy habits from an early age.
Among the activities taking place throughout the day are a zumba session, a first aid workshop and participatory activities on nutrition, rest, physical activity and emotional management, consolidating the fair as a meeting point between education, health and leisure.
From 4 pm to 8 pm people will be able to enjoy family yoga classes, zumba, batucada, first aid workshops, storytelling, theatre and live music performances. The Grupo Inspirar Teatro, led by Sonnibel Mendoza, will present the play «El que espera, desespera» (He who waits, despairs), a show that combines entertainment and awareness, offering reflections that connect. There will also be a performance by Adeje singer Ainhoa Aguilar, who will sing three pieces specially selected for the occasion, bringing a close to a day full of activities dedicated to wellbeing and family life.
The fair will feature twelve information stands, managed by specialised associations and facilitation teams. «These spaces form the central axis of the event, as they allow direct contact with organisations, access to resources and guidance for all those who live with these realities or who wish to find out more,» explained Councillor Rivero Vargas.
Among the participating organisations are those that regularly collaborate with Adeje Town Hall, such as Fundación Carrera por la Vida, the Spanish Cancer Association, the Association of Family Members and Carers of People with Alzheimer’s and Other Dementias (AFATE), Parkinson Tenerife Association, Autismo Sur, Asociación No Somos de Segunda and the Acquired Brain Injury Association.
