Adeje, 14 March 2026. – Adeje Town Hall has launched the Spanish Father’s Day (March 19) commercial promotion campaign «Papá lo vale, nuestro comercio también» (Dad is worth it, and so is our local trade) to boost economic activity and support small and medium-sized businesses in the municipality. The initiative is organised by the Association of Entrepreneurs, Traders and Professionals of Adeje (AECPA), in collaboration with Adeje Town Hall’s Department of Economic Development and Employment.
Support for Local Businesses
The councillor for Economic Development and Employment, Alberto Álvarez, explained that the aim of the campaign is to highlight businesses in the municipality and encourage purchases in local shops. He added that «from the Town Hall we continue working to support Adeje’s business network, which plays a fundamental role in the municipality’s economy.»
Significance of Father’s Day
Álvarez also noted that «Father’s Day is a significant date, like other moments throughout the year that we promote as tools for local economic activity, such as Mother’s Day, Halloween or the sales periods. These are occasions when we remind the public of the importance of shopping in Adeje, making the most of local products, quality and above all proximity, while also avoiding queues.»
